Terms of Use
By accessing swiftener.com or any Swiftener tool subdomain, you agree to these Terms of Use.
Service description
Swiftener provides free web-based utilities for processing files and data. The main site links to separate tool suites, each hosted on its own subdomain.
Advertising
Swiftener displays third-party advertisements through Google AdSense. Ads are not an endorsement of the advertised products. See our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy for how ad cookies work.
Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the services for unlawful purposes or to process content you do not have rights to
- Attempt to disrupt, overload, or reverse-engineer the services
- Upload malware, spam, or abusive content
- Circumvent rate limits or security measures
No warranty
The services are provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability, accuracy of outputs, or fitness for a particular purpose.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Swiftener shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the services, including loss of data or files.
Your content
You retain ownership of files and data you submit. You grant us a limited license to process that content solely to provide the requested tool functionality.
Intellectual property
The Swiftener name, branding, and site design are our property. Tool outputs belong to you, subject to any third-party rights in source material.
Accounts and optional features
Most tools do not require an account. When you create one, you are responsible for keeping credentials secure and for activity under that account. Features that need identity (for example monitored URLs) may store associated records as described in the Privacy Policy. You may request deletion of account-linked data through the Contact page.
Client-side processing and uploads
Some suites process files entirely in your browser. Others accept temporary uploads to complete encoding or network checks. You are responsible for ensuring you have rights to the content you process. Do not upload material that is illegal to possess or that you are not authorized to transform. Temporary server files for media jobs are not a backup service; download results promptly.
Third-party services
Swiftener may load fonts, analytics, ads, and other third-party scripts. Those providers have their own terms. Links to external sites from ads or documentation are outside our control. Tutorials and playgrounds may load libraries from CDNs; use them for learning and prototyping, not as a substitute for reviewing licenses when you ship commercial software.
Availability and fair use
We aim for high availability but do not promise uptime percentages. Automated scraping, aggressive concurrency, or attempts to use the platform as free bulk infrastructure for unrelated businesses may be rate-limited or blocked. Educational and personal use within normal interactive browsing is welcome.
Indemnity
To the extent permitted by law, you agree to hold Swiftener harmless from claims arising from content you process, misuse of the services, or violation of these terms — except where liability cannot be limited under applicable law.
Changes and termination
We may modify or discontinue any part of the services at any time. We may update these terms by posting a revised version on this page.
Governing law
These terms are governed by applicable local laws without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
